- Treatment Failures: Lack of reactivity could cause failure of certain systems; for example in biological wastewater a failure could require replacement of the entire the bacteria population
- Product Consistency: Low-grade slurries have poor physical characteristics that cause solid particles to fall out of suspension and collect at the bottom of storage or feeding equipment, causing costly cleanouts and down time.
- Reduced Cost Effectiveness: It is typically seen that 15% to 30% more product is needed when using lower-grade magnesium hydroxide as compared with AQUAMAG®.
